Overview
Wichita Ashtanga Yoga calls the Revolutsia Complex home—a small, intimate space where traditional Ashtanga practice meets community warmth. The studio’s core mission is to offer a safe, inquisitive, and empowering practice rooted in yoga’s classical teachings, while fostering an inclusive environment for self-exploration. Because of its size, some classes require advance registration to secure a mat spot. The space itself reflects a commitment to high standards of love and acceptance—of oneself, one’s body, and others.
Teacher & Approach
Christince, the founding teacher, brings nearly two decades of practice to her teaching. She first encountered yoga through a home DVD during pregnancy and later fell into Ashtanga, which transformed her understanding of the practice. She completed her initial teacher training at Siva Yoga Studio and continues to study with Tim Feldmann of Miami Life Center, as well as notable Ashtanga teachers like Tim Miller, Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor, and David Garrigues. Her teaching style invites students to go deeper than the physical postures, guiding them toward self-discovery with a loving, playful approach. Christince integrates Patanjali’s yoga philosophy in accessible ways, and she has also woven her recovery from alcohol addiction into her teaching, offering a unique perspective for those on a similar path. Additionally, she is completing Reiki Master training under Rikky Maas.
Classes & Pricing
While Ashtanga is the studio’s foundation, Wichita Ashtanga Yoga also offers Lunar Yoga classes—a nurturing, feminine-style practice that contrasts with the heating, solar energy of traditional Ashtanga. These sessions incorporate asana, pranayama, meditation, and intention-setting aligned with the lunar cycle. Due to limited space, registration is required for Lunar classes. Pricing includes a monthly membership at $108 (valid six months), offering unlimited studio classes plus one 30-minute private session per month and Zoom access. A six-class package is $75, and a live-stream-only option is $33 per month. Drop-in for Lunar Yoga is $20. Reviews note that the studio welcomes all levels, including complete beginners, and that even experienced practitioners find value in the instruction.
