Overview and Approach
Soul Ya Yoga is a boutique yoga studio located in Northeast Minneapolis, founded by Ka Zoua Xiong. The studio is dedicated to providing a safe space for tired bodies to rest and busy minds to slow down. The focus is on nervous system regulation, deep rest, and holistic wellbeing. Ka Zoua, a heart-centered teacher with over five years of experience, specializes in trauma-informed yoga, Thai Yoga Bodywork, SOMA breathwork, meditation, and Reiki. The studio’s philosophy centers on rest as radical, the body as wise, and healing through safety and softening. It serves high-achieving individuals seeking reconnection with their inner selves, as well as those navigating grief, stress, or burnout. The environment is intentionally intimate and supportive, fostering a sense of sisterhood and community.
The approach is gentle and intuitive, with an emphasis on consent and presence. Sessions are not about forcing change but creating conditions for the body to release naturally. This makes the studio particularly welcoming for sensitive individuals, beginners, and anyone craving deep rest rather than intense physical exertion.
